Valentine’s Day Puff Pastry: 5 Sweet Hearts to Bake Today

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into heart shapes.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture on half of the heart shapes.
  6. Add sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Place the other half of the heart shapes on top and seal the edges.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before serving.
