Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk to the dry mix.
  4. Beat the mixture until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add red food coloring to achieve desired color.
  6. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool completely before frosting.
  9. Frost with buttercream and add sprinkles.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Adjust red food coloring for more or less color.
