Valentines Cakepops: 5 Sweet Treats to Melt Hearts

Delicious and festive cake pops perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of frosting
  • 1 lb of chocolate candy coating
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
  3. Bake in a 9×13 inch pan for 30 minutes.
  4. Let the cake cool completely.
  5. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  6. Add the frosting and mix until combined.
  7. Form into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  9. Melt the chocolate candy coating in a microwave.
  10. Dip the end of a lollipop stick in the melted chocolate, then insert it into a cake ball.
  11. Dip the entire cake pop into the chocolate coating and let excess drip off.
  12. Decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.

Notes

  • Use different colors of chocolate for variety.
  • Store in a cool place to maintain shape.
