Trash Recipe Chex Mix Holidays: 7 Reasons to Love It

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rice Chex
  • 4 cups Corn Chex
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 2 cups mixed nuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels, and mixed nuts.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in caramel sauce and vanilla.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the Chex mixture and stir to coat.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool.
  8. Add chocolate chips once cooled and mix well.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container.
  • Can be made a week in advance.
  • Feel free to add your favorite nuts or candies.
