- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne, and salt.
- Add water and vanilla extract, and stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- Add pecans and stir until they are well coated.
- Spread pecans onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
- Great as a snack or as a topping for salads.
