Ingredients

- 500g ground lamb or beef
- 1 cup fine bulgur
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup pine nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Soak the bulgur in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain.
- Mix the ground meat, bulgur, onion, garlic, spices, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into a greased baking tray.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle pine nuts on top if using.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground lamb with beef or a mix of both.
- For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
- Serve with yogurt or tahini sauce.
