Japchae (Stir-Fried Noodles): 7 Reasons to Love It

Ingredients

  • 200g sweet potato noodles
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced onion
  • 100g beef or chicken, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak the sweet potato noodles in hot water for 30 minutes.
  2. Blanch the spinach in boiling water for 1 minute, then drain.
  3. In a pan, heat sesame oil and stir-fry the meat until cooked.
  4. Add the vegetables and stir-fry until softened.
  5. Add the drained noodles, soy sauce, sugar, and garlic.
  6. Mix everything well and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the vegetable quantities as per your preference.
  • You can use tofu for a vegetarian option.
