Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3 minutes.
- Drain and immediately place in an ice bath to stop cooking.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add green beans and almonds, and toss to coat.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper before serving.
Notes
- Best served warm.
- Can be made ahead and reheated.
- Feel free to add other nuts or toppings.
