Falafel Burgers: 5 Flavor-Packed Variations to Savor

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into patties.
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Place patties on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Assemble the burgers with buns, lettuce, and tomato.

Notes

  • These burgers can be made ahead and frozen.
