Ingredients

- 3–4 lbs beef brisket
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions
- Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Mix garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and thyme in a bowl.
- Rub the mixture over the brisket.
- Place the brisket on top of the onions in the crockpot.
- Pour beef broth over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
- Remove brisket and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with cooking juices.
Notes
- For added flavor, sear the brisket in a pan before placing it in the crockpot.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
