Ingredients

- 1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
Instructions
- Press and cube the tofu.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
- Marinate the tofu in the mixture for 30 minutes.
- Coat each tofu piece in cornstarch, then roll in sesame seeds.
- Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the tofu until golden brown on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Use firm or extra-firm tofu for best results.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/maple syrup.
- Serve with rice or vegetables.
