- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add beef strips and cook until browned. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to coat.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir well.
- Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened.
- Return beef to the skillet and stir in sour cream.
- Season with salt and pepper. Heat gently without boiling.
- Garnish with parsley and serve over noodles or rice.
Notes
- Use a tender cut of beef for best results.
- Do not boil after adding sour cream to prevent curdling.
- Adjust thickness with more broth or sour cream if needed.
